Vivek Kumar

Vivek joined the True North Private Equity team in 2026 as Director, Investments. In his role, he is responsible for originating, evaluating and executing investments across the Consumer and Industrial sectors.

Prior to joining True North, Vivek spent about a decade at Lighthouse, focusing on investments across the Consumer and Industrial sectors. He led and managed marquee investments including Bikaji Foods, Shaily Engineering, Duroflex, V2 Retail and Wow! Momo, generating top-tier returns across full and partial exits. Over the past few years, he was instrumental in establishing Lighthouse's Industrial practice, building deep sub-sector theses and mapping investible opportunities.

Before Lighthouse, Vivek worked in the Investment Banking team at Edelweiss (Nuvama), covering the Consumer and Healthcare sectors. Earlier in his career, he interned with Amazon's North American operations team, following an engineering stint at Bajaj Auto, where he contributed to the design and development of the company's first four-wheeler, the Qute. He holds a PGDM (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee).

Outside of work, Vivek enjoys outdoor adventure activities and recharging in nature. At home, he indulges his curious side with science documentaries and reading up on the latest tech innovations.
